CAREER PROJECTION
PROGRAM INTEGRATION
CASE 1 : You don’t have any flight instructor rating (STEP 1 integration)
Pre-requirements to integrate the program from STEP 1:
- You have successfully completed an Astonfly ATP Integrated training with a CPL (A) license
- You hold a valid medical Class 1 certificate
- You have a FCL.055 level 5 or 6
- You have performed at least 5 flight hours as pilot on single engine piston within the last 6 months
- You didn’t fail an ASTONCADET selection over the last 12 months
CASE 2: You already have an instructor rating (STEP 1, 2 or 3A integration)
Pre-requirements to integrate the program from STEP 1:
- You hold a CPL (A) or ATPL (A) license with the following ratings: SEP, Night VFR, IR SE, IR ME, FI with night extension
- You hold a valid medical Class 1 certificate
- You have a FCL.055 level 5 or 6
- You didn’t fail an ASTONCADET selection over the last 12 months
Pre-requirements to integrate the program with a direct entry on STEP 2:
- You hold a CPL (A) or ATPL (A) license with the following ratings: SEP, MEP, Night VFR, IR SE, IR ME, FI-CPL with night extension, CRI ME
- You hold a valid medical Class 1 certificate
- You have a FCL.055 level 5 or 6
- You have performed 200 hours as a flight instructor
- You didn’t fail an ASTONCADET selection over the last 12 months
Pre-requirements to integrate the program with a direct entry on STEP 3A:
- You hold a CPL (A) or ATPL (A) license with the following ratings: SEP, MEP, Night VFR, IR SE, IR ME, FI-CPL with night extension, CRI ME, FI-IR or IRI
- You hold a valid medical Class 1 certificate
- You have a FCL.055 level 5 or 6
- You have performed 200 hours as a flight instructor
- You didn’t fail an ASTONCADET selection over the last 12 months
SELECTION PROCESS
2. Take the on site theoretical MCQ test
Theoretical tests are scheduled every last saturday of the first month of the trimester.
If you succeed to this step, you are called for an interview.
3. On site interview with Chief Flight Instructor and Head of Training
- Technical questions
- Soft skills and motivation appreciation
If you succeed to this step, you will take an evaluation flight as soon as a training course is available.
4. Evaluation flight
- 1 hour flight time with maneuvers left seat (if not SEP holder)
- 1 hour flight time right seat, to test future instructor abilities, and workload management
STEP EVOLUTION CRITERIA
Career development evolution from one to step to another will be offered according to the company needs and will depend on the seniority of the employee in the position and subject to compatibility with the following eligibility criteria:
- having completed 12 months minimum on the position,
- having met training pre-requirements of the next step criteria,
- not having had a disciplinary sanction in the last 12 months,
- not having refused an internal career development within the group in the last 12 months.
